I absolutely LOVE handmade gifts. They're all unique and lovely and come with SO much care. Although, I'm not so great at making them myself, not for lack of desire, but lack of … ability … 🙂

Joanne, I wish I had a creative crafty bone in my body 🙂 but I don't have even a one…. Sigh. At least I write creatively so things could be worse! I adore homemade things, especially baked goods and jellies/jams so your presents list sounds wonderful

Lindsay, I totally understand! Not many of my crafting attempts would end up in a Martha Stwart magazine. Hence the reason there are no pictures of the scarves =)

My mom was always making stuff for people. She was so crafty. Me? Not so much. But I really love it when I get something that's homemade. 😛

I love exchanging homemade gifts – they represent the gift of time and thought and are so personal. Growing up, our family drew names and one year our parents challenged us to exchange gifts from something we already owned that we knew "our person" would love.

I'm not making any gifts this year, but a friend made one for me. It's under the tree, and I'm eagerly anticipating opening it because of the fact that I know she made it especially for me. There's something special about a gift that represents a labor of love. =)
