Our holiday traditions include putting our tree up the day after Thanksgiving, going to see lights, acting out the Nativity story on Christmas Eve. This year we helped make ornaments for a tree that was going to be sold to help our local children's hospital and I'd like to do that again next year.

Jesus has His own stocking, hung higher than all of ours. Each December, we must "fill" Jesus' stocking with intentional acts of kindness — then we write these down and put the papers in His stocking. The kids have all been taught that before we can open any presents, we must first offer presents to the One who gave us the greatest gift.
