It’s here!

An audio book almost a year in the making.

Friends, I am so excited for you to get to hear these characters — their voices and their story — come to life. Whether you’re young, or young at heart, this story is meant to encourage you and bring a smile to your day. And if you’re a crier like me, you might need one little Kleenex on hand. 🙂

To Get to You audiobook
It’s my joy to introduce you to Nick Powers, a professional voice actor and California native who has performed the audio version of To Get to You. When I first began searching for narrators, I was on the hunt for a guy who could sound like Riley — a semi-pro skateboarder — and also pull of Jake and Saul’s surfing vibes. So it was a delightful surprise to stumble upon a young surfer and audio actor who lives right here in southern CA.

It was a blast working with Nick and soon, he’ll be joining us for a special Q&A about his process. I hope you enjoy his performance as much as I have and if this will be your first time in the pages of To Get to You (and Jake’s VW bus!) I hope you’ll have a fantastic time with Riley and gang.

To get to the girl he loves,

Riley Kane must head off on a road trip with the

father he never knew. Then pray for a miracle.

Most teens would love to have a pro surfer for a dad. Just not Riley. Abandoned as a kid, he hates the sound of the ocean and the man who gave himself to it.

When the eighteen-year-old learns that his best friend is stranded at a New Mexico hospital as her father fights for his life, Riley hits the highway to head east. But when his Jeep breaks down before he even leaves California, he must rely on the one man he despises to get to the girl who needs him the most. And when it comes to the surfer with the Volkswagen van and dog-eared map, a thousand miles may–or may not–be enough to heal the past.

A story of new beginnings and second chances.
