My editor sent the cover over just a few days ago and I confess, I might have melted 🙂 Oh…a surreal moment it was!
I am overjoyed to share with you that coming this fall, is the third book in the Cadence of Grace series, MY HOPE IS FOUND.
The cover designer has done an amazing job of capturing each individual story while also running a thread of growth and change through the series. He has a gift for capturing the subtle details and I’m so thankful for how he’s brought these books to life. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Cadence of Grace series. You all are like a second family to me and that blesses me to no end. It’s my constant prayer that these stories bless you.
If you are new to the series, you can learn more about BE STILL MY SOUL, or the recently released THOUGH MY HEART IS TORN, by clicking on the title, or by visiting the Cadence of Grace bonus page.Â
MY HOPE IS FOUND is available for pre-order at most online sellers, including: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or CBD
Lovely! I did notice that thread of story woven into the covers. It’s one of the things I like about it. Do you have a favorite of the three, or is that like asking which is your favorite out of all the stories you’ve written? I’m not sure I could ever answer that question myself.
Yay, Kris!
Lori,
Isn’t it amazing what Kristopher can do? I love the cover for Burning Sky and it just amazes me how he can capture all these different era’s and emotions. He’s so good! Favorite? Oh, you’re right…it is hard to choose. I think I love how I can look at any of the covers and think, “yes. That’s the story.” 🙂 That’s always a gift to an author, isn’t it?
Wah-HOOO! Congratulations on the progress with book #3! Can’t wait for it to come out this Fall. And, like you and all comments I’ve read so far, we both love the cover for “My Hope is Found.”
Blessings!
Jeanette & Ralph
OooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooohhhhhhh!!!
Holy smokes!! This is gorgeous!! You must be so pleased!
And yeah, Gideon looks good.
My creative eye is twitching.
-the back colour is very bright and the sun is directly behind her, implying the infusion of warmth and life.
-her blouse is more mature, more refined, suggesting she is older and wiser and will not settle for childish behaviour
-she is looking over her shoulder at what has been done, but also she is still waiting for him to catch up to her, both emotionally and physically
-his picture is too small
-he is hawt
-the picture of Gideon is too small
-Gideon’s photo is not sufficient
-the trees are green, as opposed to the Fall leaves on the cover of TMHiT, implying new life, and that life has come full circle
-Gideon looks hawt
Can you tell I like art?
(I want ‘Kris’ or whoever it is who did these,to do my covers! Notice how I didn’t say “if I ever get any”? Oh yeah, I am hopeful.)
Jennifer,
LOVE Your list! Especially the parts that made me laugh out loud 🙂 This is the first cover where Gideon was turned around and when my editor sent it over, I was amazed 😀 It’s so Gideon! 😀 The designer did a remarkable job. I love how you noticed the subtle details. (and made me laugh this morning) 🙂
Oh and yes, Kris is the designer at WaterBrook Multnomah and he is so good at what he does! Did you see Jaime Wright’s latest pin on her character board? I think you might appreciate it 😉
Hmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmm.
Yes, I do appreciate that photo, uh huh. Cough.
Fans self.
Seriously though, when I do get pubbed, I NEED a cover designer who understands the intricacies of NOT sticking an eagle feather war bonnet on a guy with war paint and a tomahawk. That would be like having a drawing of an Irish guy in a kilt carrying a machete and wearing camo.
Um yeah. Jennifer practically slobbered all over my Pinterest page! LOLOL
“practically”? Nope. I did slobber. BUT, I have one of those plas
tic bibs…
Oh Wow! It’s perfect! I have major goosebumps just anticipating this story! All 3 books are gorgeous. And I definitely noticed that Gideon is heading TOWARDS Lonnie on this cover, not away from her. He’s coming home!!!!! Yay!!!! Can’t wait to read it!!
Debbie,
I am so glad you like it! I always think of reader friends in moments like these and I thought of you when I saw it 🙂 So much reflected in the cover that ties in the story. I’m excited for you to read it!! 🙂
Hooray! Hopeful title, Gideon walking toward her instead of away… I can’t wait to read this one!
Karen,
I really wanted this title to be a joyous one, after all that happens in Torn. So glad you like it!!
That’s what caught my eye too! He’s walking toward her 🙂
😀 When the cover designer was working on it, that was one of the things I asked for. I didn’t know how it would all work out, so I was thrilled when the cover showed up. He nailed it 🙂
The title is perfect for the lead in to the final chapter of Lonnie and Gideon and ____ (a few other primary characters that you made us feel invested in). I must say your characters have taken on flesh and bone through your writings and with book 3 they are going to come to the conclusion/journey you will take us on. It is like I can’t wait to read it but I also hate to see their stories conclude. Hurry up October 15th!!! Got mine pre-ordered. I’m not gonna do the mess around to see WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
Thanks, Nettie! You are so dear to me. Thank you for being such a wonderful encouragement and supporter. I am so thankful for you. THANK YOU for pre-ordering the book! That means a ton! I hate to see the story conclude too. It was really bittersweet turning in this final manuscript.
*sigh*… beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The progression of the sky color, Gid walking toward her (yay!! So symbolic!), progression of her posture… love it all! And the titles– so perfect, the 3 of them. I *love* that the first two are about turbulence within the heart/soul, and the third one has such assurance in something found outside themselves: hope.
Love it, my friend! They did a wonderful job!
Amanda,
I just love hearing your insights. You picked up on so much that is this story. The progression of sky color was something I hadn’t thought of either but you’re so right! I remember before they sent it that I’d always thought the sky would have an orangish color to it and it did! The growth of titles was really something I’d try to do…this title was hard to come up with and then it just sort of clicked into place. I really want readers to feel that hope 🙂
I too noticed that Gideon is coming toward her…I almost wish he were running! It’s going to be such an amazing reunion! One I cannot wait for. Summer is my absolute favorite time of year, but I’ll admit this book is something I’m anxiously awaiting for the arrival of October for!!
I also really like how the clouds in the sky look to be breaking up in front of them, as if the storm is finally passing! Amazingly beautiful cover!
oh Melissa…there is a moment I am so eager for you to read. You will know what I mean when you see it. I love how you noticed the clouds. You pointed out something I hadn’t realized and I just love that! Thank you 🙂 It means so much that you are looking forward to this in October.
P.s. I had mentioned It Is Well With My Soul then at the last minute had to do some revising to the post, but I’m going to share about that soon!
Congratulations, Joanne! Another incredible cover–gorgeous and compelling. Can’t wait to read My Hope is Found!
Mona, Thank you! That means so much! The cover for Prairie Song is stunning. That’s one I could never tire of seeing 🙂
Oh my goodness :O :O :O :O *melts* I’m so excited…!!!!!!! hehehe
Haha, I’m not the only one who melted! 😀 Glad you are excited, Jenna!! <3 Thank you!
Joanne,
It’s marvelous. I think the first thing that caught my eye is the heightened intuitive sense of empowerment in Lonnie’s face. Her choices have always been made for her, but the look on her face portrays that this time, she’s got the strength, the knowledge of who she is in Christ, and as a woman, to make choices of her own. I saw the shift from head down on the first book, to head up, but still wary, with arms crossed over her heart to protect it, and not yet able to face things fully on the second cover, to face-forward, with that sense of knowing who she is. It kinda translates into a lovely sensuality, making her – FINALLY! – truly woman. Love the progression.
Kris is really quite a remarkable artist.
Wow, Becky. Just wow. You amaze me with your perception and ability to turn that into words. Seeing that progression through your eyes really drives it home for me. The idea that she’s not afraid, she’s not as broken, that she’s stronger, wiser and even a little more bolder to face what’s coming. I love the progression too. Kris truly is an incredible cover designer and to the photographer, Mike, and model, Rose…she captured such a tender emotion for Lonnie through each cover. I am so thankful.
Wow is right!! Excellent observations,Becky.
I would like to tell you all that Becky is one of the smartest people I know, and seriously, one of the biggest blessings in my whole world. And if you’ve read her work, you’d know that girl’s pen is magic.
Jennifer – You SLAY me! And I didn’t even have to pay you this time! What would we be without the love and support and encouragement of each other, and our circle of writing friends??? LOVE YOU!
I LOVE the friendship that you two have. Jennifer, Becky is such a wonderful lady. She wrote me the kindest note when we first met telling me we were neighbors! She came to the launch party for Be Still My Soul and not only has been an encouragement, but just a bright light in the writing world. I love her warrior attitude! 🙂
You two are so blessed to have each other!
I am blessed to know Becky, and also the Southern third of our heart, Heather Gilbert.
Don’t be surprised if someday you read headlines about 3 women getting arrested for laughing too hard at a writer’s conference.
Haha, I sure hope so! That’s so fun! *waving* to Heather!
Hi Joanne! Absolutely beautiful cover! I love how the characters are looking at each other yet seem so far away… So dreamy! Looking forward to reading it. (Of course.) 🙂
Hugs!
Andrea
Andrea, I am so, so glad that you’re looking forward to it 🙂 Yes…that distant look really does melt my heart, too. One of the key words I had in my cover questionnaire that I got to fill out was “yearning”…I think the designer really infused that into the cover.
Oh yes! They definitely got ‘yearning’ in there. I don’t know how anyone could be disappointed with the covers the team design for your books!
Oh my! I love, love, love, LOVE it! Love the covers…love the look on Lonnie’s face…love the guy in the background who I’m going to assume is Gid. I need to read this book NOW. 🙂 Hehehe…
But seriously, so excited about it! I think you need to come back to Tag(g)lines for a third visit. 🙂
Oh, thanks, Melissa! I’d love to! Can’t wait to have you on here. I’m so excited!! Yes, I think our petition that had about 3 signatures to get Gideon on the cover paid off, LOL 😉
And I’m so excited for the moment when you get to hold MADE TO LAST in your hands. It’s going to be so cool. you totally deserve it!
I love your new cover! I think its my favorite one. I like how all three books have different colored skies…so pretty. Loved the first book and can’t wait to read the other two. 🙂
Cathy – that is so nice to hear that this just might be your favorite of the three 🙂 I love those different colored skies, too. So fitting to each one. Glad you enjoyed Be Still My Soul and I hope the next two bless you!
Congratulations on your beautiful cover, Joanne! I love the dress, but do you know what my favorite part is? Nope? That’s OK, cuz I’ll tell ya. I love that Gideon is finally heading TOWARD Lonnie. That thrills my romance-loving heart. HEA, here we come!
Thank you, Keli! Yay for the thrill of romance and what is your favorite part! It’s mine too 🙂 I don’t think I’ve ever had so much *fun* writing a book as this one…just so many scenes that had been a long time coming. SO glad you’re looking forward to it!
Love it!
Yay! 😀
