I have a thank you. A thank you that’s been two years in the making. Because it was nearly two years ago that I posted this picture on my blog. And I told you all that I would be writing three books for WaterBrook Multnomah.
My how two years have flown by!
A very special thank you to WaterBrook Multnomah for giving this newbie a chance. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but you walked me through the steps and you gave this story wings. I will be forever grateful. You gave these books some of the prettiest covers a girl could ever hope for, introduced me to the most amazing marketers and publicists and sales reps in your publishing family and you showed me how to be a better writer. I will be forever grateful.Â
And thank you to all the readers who met Lonnie and Gideon in Be Still My Soul and walked with them through the heartache of Though My Heart is Torn, all the while hoping that joy might be on the horizon. You braved the rough and mighty river with me and I am so thankful to you for your friendship and encouragement along this journey.Â
It is my absolute joy to share with you My Hope is Found. I pray these pages might bless you. I pray they might encourage you. I hope they’ll make you smile and maybe even laugh and if you shed a tear or two know that you are not alone for I did too.Â
And I hope above all hopes, that the promises of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, might live in the pages. Â If He ever gives us more than we think we can handle, it’s only so that we might cling to Him. I can’t think of any better place to be.
Hugs, hugs and more hugs to all of you!
So happy to have been able to enjoy this incredible journey with you! What a fabulous ride it has been…and this is just the beginning 🙂
I don’t think I could have done any of this without you.
Love the first one, and would love to win this one, thanks

Shirley, I hope you’ll be able to read it sometime!
Yay! October 15th is finally here! Joanne, I am so happy for you. May you receive only the best kind of feedback from readers. And may you find more stories to tell us. 🙂
Andrea
Thank you very much, Andrea. 🙂
I am very much looking forward to reading this!!
Best Wishes for a great release day!!
And you as well, Betty!
SO happy for you, Joanne – NO one deserves this more than you!
Pre-ordered my copy, but it didn’t come today – anxiously awaiting!
God is touching people through your books, & is smiling down on you! Sending you bunches of hugs!
Celebrate today, & then get busy on that next book (LOL)! Love you!
Bonnie-
I’m hoping that copy gets there soon for you! Thanks for your sweet encouragement!
My friend! My heart is smiling today, thinking of the incredible road you have traveled this past year. The lengths your books have gone, the depths they’ve reached, the way they’ll linger in hearts for years and years to come. I’m ever so grateful for you. Your friendship has been a joy, a refuge, and a treasure. Sending you a hug on this beautiful day, and rejoicing with all my heart!
Now I’m off to eat some raspberries. 😉
You are such a dear friend. How is it that we crossed paths? It seems like so long ago that we bumped into one another on Twitter and who knew a Kindred Spirit was there on the other side of that screen? I am so blessed to know you and your encouragement is such a bright spot along this journey.
And oh! I’m so excited about my spinach and egg omelette. 😉 No scones and tea would not make this morning any better. Not one bit. I’m going to keep up this mantra…
Yippy! Happy release day!!! I enjoyed reading the books! I laughed, cried, squealed, pulled my hair out, you name it! I can’t wait to read what you’ll write next! hehe
Hi Jenna! BIG thank you sweet one!! You are such a gem!
Happy release day, Joanne! I have been anxiously awaiting this day and can’t wait to read the finale of this incredible story! Thank you for the smiles, the tears and the gift of your amazing writing!
Thank you bunches, Britney! It was so great to “see” you last night at the party!
What a precious journey- I’m so thankful that God put that gift in you, and that you’ve been so faithful to surrender it and point to Him! I’ve been blessed by your writing, as I know everybody who reads it must be. Well Done. =)
Hey! That’s my sister! High five, Sister!
April, you are such a dear and I see your sweet sis below. I just wish I could hug ya both! Thank you so much!
Sorry I am late to the party, Joanne! Just wanted to get in my congratulations to you and to say thank you for such a wonderful journey. I am praying that it won’t be long until we can take another journey with you. Hugs and God bless.
Debbie – You are so welcome and thank YOU for giving this new author a shot. 🙂
I bought Book 2 at a used book sale…just finished it tonight. I was amazed at the timing…Book 3 just released yesterday?! Perfect timing! I am actually from the Blue Ridge Mountains and am familiar with Tuggles Gap and some of the places mentioned. Our church was right off the Parkway in Floyd, Va. My mother’s people were all there. My Grandpa was a “bootlegger” before God changed his heart. The culture is still very real….only those who have studied it or grow up in it can understand. Anyway, I enjoyed your writing & could easily see it happening…. Looking forward to book 3!
Hi Janice!
That’s so neat to hear! What an interesting legacy and it’s one that has my writing heart go pitter patter. 🙂
I love to know that those books can get a second home like that. I’m so happy that you enjoyed the story and are looking forward to #3! I hope one day you’ll have the chance to read Be Still My Soul as well. It’s neat, though to know that readers are enjoying the series even from the middle!. Thanks for your sweet comment.
Congratulations Joanne. To be compared to Janette Oke is a great compliment. I have loved her book. I will be happy if I can ever own this series. Keep up the good work. GOD bless. Maxie mac262(at)me9dot)com
Thanks so much Maxie! It truly was an honor. I hope you have a wonderful day!
